Clean Up for Earth Day with Final Straw Solent

Wed 22 April 2020

On Earth Day 2020 we want to help the wildlife we share the planet with, to do that we need to learn more about the animals who live on our doorsteps. Every autumn 125,000 birds travel to the Solent coast from Arctic regions, after spending the winter here many will be leaving the Solent in April to travel back up North. Help us clean this important place for birds while learning how to be BirdAware when you head out on the coast for a beach clean, walk or birdwatch. Protecting birds on our Solent shores helps them survive here but also ensures they are prepared for amazing journeys all over the Earth.

- Join our bird-friendly litter pick

- Have a look through the Bird Aware rangers telescope at the wide variety of birds who use Farlington Marshes

-  Get creative and join us in making a collage of the earth out of nurdles and other pesky plastic rubbish
